Enterprise Structure in SAP HR

One of the first things I learned in SAP HR is the concept of Enterprise Structure. There are five main areas of interest in Enterprise Structure which include

• Client
  
• Company Code
  
• Personnel Areas
• Personnel Sub areas
• Organizational Key
  

While Company code is set up in the Financial module of SAP (FI) the rest can be configures in SAP HR. The menu path for configuring the Personnel Areas and Personnel sub areas : IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Human Resources Management
